At Great Lakes Church, we believe that life is a team sport – best done together! We encourage everyone to be involved in a mid-week group & serve on a team at one of our weekly services. As our church grows larger during weekly gatherings, we want to grow smaller & more connected during the week. Groups are a great way to meet new friends, grow in your connection with God & just have fun!
Group seasons run two times a year (spring and fall). Some groups meet weekly for 6-8 weeks, other groups meet one-time, some meet bi-weekly, and other groups have even more random schedules. Every group season thare are lots of new groups that are offered, so don’t worry about being the only new person in the group – MOST PEOPLE ARE!
What types of groups does Great Lakes Church offer?
We offer a variety of group types. Below is a (not-so-exhaustive) list that will hopefully satisfy your pallette.
-
Growing Groups – The PRIMARY PURPOSE of a growing group is to grow by discussing the weekly talk, doing a Bible study, or focusing on a specific topic (ie: money, marriage, parenting, etc.).
-
Activity Groups - These groups are mostly about fun. Whether it's bowling, working out, fishing, crafting, or going to movies - these groups are a great place to get to know people and never have any homework!
-
Serving Groups – We are FOR our communities! A serving group allows us to show God's love by helping people here, near, and far.
